Baghdad Journal of Biochemistry and Applied Biological Sciences (BJ-BABS) is an international, open-access, English-language, peer-reviewed scholarly publication in biomedical sciences published by the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, and edited by an international group of eminent researchers. BJ-BABS publishes original articles, reviews, editorials, and short communications, including but not limited to:
- Biochemistry (Analytical, Reproductive, Cardiovascular, Thrombosis, Hemostasis, and Neonatal)
- Genetics and Molecular Biology
- Clinical Biochemistry
- Translational Medicine
- Agricultural and Biological Sciences
- Medical Biotechnology

BJ-BABS welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence.
BJ-BABS uses the Open Journal System for online manuscript submission, review, and status tracking. Editorial board members of the journal or outside experts review manuscripts; at least two independent reviewers' approval, followed by the editor's approval, is required to accept and publish any citable manuscript.
A manuscript number will be emailed to the corresponding author within 72 hours.
