Mission and Scope
Baghdad Journal of Biochemistry and Applied Biological Sciences (BJ-BABS) publishes original research papers, reviews, and short communications written by competent authors.
The journal aims to maintain high academic standards. One method by which the journal hopes to achieve this goal is via the publication of outstanding reviews. BJ-BABS encourages application-based interdisciplinary studies on human health, diagnostic methods, pharmacology, environmental and industrial sciences, and biotechnologies with a focus on polyvalent biochemical, molecular, microbiological, and cellular analysis techniques.
The journal publishes discoveries in biomedical science that lead to useful products or practices whose clinical application has been thoroughly tested.
In general, pure clinical reports are not published, nor are those unrelated to some molecular or biochemical mechanism, as they have no practical use.
BJ-BABS is dedicated to upholding editorial quality, practicing responsible publishing, and achieving prominence in prominent scientific databases.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Biochemistry (Analytical, Reproductive, Cardiovascular, Thrombosis, Hemostasis and Neonatal)
Genetics and Molecular Biology
Clinical Biochemistry
Translational medicine—linking bench (lab research) to bedside (clinical practice).
Agricultural and Biological Sciences
Medical Biotechnology
Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmaceutics.
